Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN)
Is a common, harmless skin condition, histologically very similar to Seborrheic keratosis but occurs more in people with darker skin tones.This benign,non-viral proliferation of epidermal cells is primarily caused by aging but can appear at young people.
DPN appears as:
- small brown or black bumps
- smooth or slightly rough
- 1-5 mm in size
- most common on cheeks, temples, around the eyes, and neck
- they can appear as single lesion or come in clusters
