Microblading by Phibrows
Microblading is semi-permanent make-up for eyebrows. This very popular and treatment is done on the Eyebrows where very fine hair- like- looking strokes are blended in with your natural eyebrow shape. The strokes are drawn manually using pigment of highest quality and specialised tool made exclusively by Phibrows.
Microblading technique we allows us to create fine strokes mimicking hairs, filling the gaps where eyebrow hairs are naturally lacking.
Why is microblading ever so trendy? Because if they are done correctly, they look hyper-realistic and compliment your natural eyebrow shape.
The direction of the eyebrow hairs should be followed by new-draw in strokes to create an illusion of real hairs. The colour of the pigment needs to blend in with your natural eyebrow colour. There is a wide range of Phibrows colour pigments available and much easier to match natural eyebrows. The healing after microblading takes 4-6 weeks time and after this time you will be able to see the true colour of the pigment. It will be slightly lighter than straight after the procedure.
Healed results are important as you can see whether the technique of the eyebrow artist is correct.Always request to see healed eyebrow results!
How long does Microblading last?
There are more factors such as lifestyle and the skin type of the client influencing the longevity of the procedure but it should last from 12 to 18 months.Usually touch up is required once a year or when the pigment begins to fade.
Sunbathing, hormonal changes, exercise and skincare products/routine have all impact on the pigment/colour inserted in the dermis.
Is the procedure painful?
It feels a bit uncomfortable similar to eyebrow tweezing. An anaesthetic in A liquid form is applied during the procedure so there is nothing to worry about!
How long does the treatment take?
It takes up to 3 hours.
How do I book in for microblading?
Either over the phone or email, first of all, you need to book your initial consultation. This is very important as I go through your health and I need to be informed about any medication in case, doctor’s consent is needed.
Also, I provide a patch test for the pigment and an anaesthetic on the same day.I check your skin and eyebrows and can pre-draw the best shape to compliment your face. I discuss expectations and treatment results.Book at least 30 minutes for consultation appointment. This appointment is free of charge.
Once, you decide to go ahead and we agree an appointment day, the deposit of £75 needs to be paid to secure your booking.
What is the treatment like?
On the day of your appointment I start with cleansing the skin in your eyebrow area. I take before photos.I pre-draw the eyebrow shape according to Golden Ratio rules. Phibrows caliper tool has been designed to create perfect symmetry by giving you the exact eyebrow measurement according to nature. After we both agree on the symmetry and the shape, I go ahead with blading strokes and inserting pigment just below the epidermis.I then apply anaesthetic to minimise the discomfort and continue filling each stroke with pigment.
After I leave the pigment mask on for few minutes while drawing strokes on the other eyebrow.
Once finished, I take after photos and inform you all about the aftercare and provide you with antiseptic wipe and Small pot of special ointment to look after your freshly done eyebrows.
Is touch up necessary?
Yes! The skin is a living organ and it normally regenerates during 12 month period. This makes the pigment rects to internal and external changes (hormonal imbalance, endocrine conditions) and external factors (sun exposure, exercise, different skin types).
After the first, microblading procedure there is a follow-up procedure 4-6 weeks after initial procedure. This is important as some of the strokes may fade too much during healing process. Once eyebrows are retouched the pigment should remain in the skin for the next 12-18 months.
12 or 18 months touch up is usually recommended as pigment may fade by then and strokes will need colour boosting.
