Eyebrow Trends- Natural is the New Beautiful

Brows are a big deal, they always have been, and I don’t think they’ll ever go out of fashion. They frame our face ,help us express emotion (just imagine trying to look surprised without eyebrows!), and can completely change the way we look. The good news? Those heavy, square blocky “Instagram Brows” are finally taking a well-earned back seat-and I am absolutely here for it.

Permanent Brows-Natural is the Goal!

Whether it’s delicate hair stroke brows or beautifully soft powder brows ,today’s trend is all about creating eyebrows that look like . . .well. . . your own, only better! The aim isn’t for people to notice your permanent eyebrows. The aim is for them to say: “You look amazing. . .but I can’t quite put my finger on why.”

Of course, not every permanent brow technique suits every client. Your skin type, age, natural brow hair and lifestyle all play a part in deciding which technique will give the best results. When designing brows, I always work with your natural shape rather than trying to completely reinvent it. I always want you to leave like the best version of yourself-not like someone else.

Symmetry Matters (Even When Our Eyes Think Otherwise!)

People often ask if I measure brows every single time. The answer? Absolutely. Every.Single.Time. Even after years of experience ,I still use my calibers, mapping string , and measurements.

Why? Because our eyes can play tricks on us. What looks perfectly symmetrical to the naked eye often isn’t. Taking those extra few minutes to measure carefully makes all the difference to achieving beautifully balanced brows.

Brow Lamination-Love it but Don’t Overdo it!

I remember when brow lamination first appeared in salons after being popular on Russian catwalks. I honestly wondered: “Is this just another beauty trend that will disappear in six months?” So, naturally, I tried it on myself first. . . and I loved it! When done well, brow lamination can brows appear fuller, and beautifully groomed.

However- and this is important- it isn’t for everyone. If you naturally have very thick brows  and a smaller face, lamination can sometimes look a little overpowering. It is ideal for clients who would love fuller- looking brows and already have enough natural hairs to create that soft, lifted effect.

I especially love it before holidays, weddings, birthday, or any special occasion.

One piece of advice though- give your brows a break. I generally recommend waiting around three months between treatments to help keep the brow hairs healthy and in a good condition.

Hybrid Brows-The tint that goes the Extra Mile

If you are having your brows tinted but wish the colour lasted a little longer , hybrid brows might become your new favourite treatment. Hybrid tint stains both the brow hairs and the skin, creating a fuller, more defined look that usually lasts longer than a traditional tint.

The treatment includes:

  • Brow mapping
  • Gentle exfoliation
  • Hybrid tint application
  • Waxing and/or tweezing
  • Finishing with a nourishing brow hair mask

I always finish by conditioning the brow hairs, because healthy brows make beautiful brows. It’s the perfect treatment before a holiday , special event, or simply if you’d like to spend less time filling in your brows every morning.

Trends Come and Go. . . .Your Face Stays the Same

Beauty trends are fun, and I love keeping up with them. But here’s my philosophy… just because something is trending doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. My job isn’t to give every clients exactly the same brows. My job is to create the brows that suit your face, your features, and your personality. The best brows aren’t the trendiest ones.

They are the ones that make you look in the mirror and think. . .”Yes. . that’s me.”

And if you leave my salon feeling more confident than when you arrived, then I’ve done exactly what I set out to do.
