Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN)

Is a common, harmless skin condition, histologically very similar to Seborrheic keratosis but occurs more in people with darker skin tones.This benign, non-viral proliferation of epidermal cells is primarily caused by aging but can appear at young people.

DPN appears as:  – small brown or black bumps – smooth or slightly rough – 1-5 mm in size – most common on cheeks, temples, around the eyes, and neck  – they can appear as single lesion or come in clusters
