Skin Tags
These common fibrous conditions, benign growths which can appear anywhere on the body, especially found in areas of friction. Usually flesh colour or darker pigmented growths often appear with a stalk attachment. They can vary in size from smaller than a grain of uncooked rice, to the size of a large pea or even larger.
Milia- these are tiny, white hard, round spots which lie superficially under the skin and contain keratin.Their exact cause isn’t fully understood although they are associated with dry, dehydrated skin.
Can all skin tags be removed?
A consultation is required to assess suitability. Most benign skin tags can be treated successfully with Advanced Electrolysis; however, very large lesions or those with unusual features may require medical assessment before treatment can be considered.
How does Advanced Electrolysis remove skin tags?
Advanced Electrolysis uses a fine probe to deliver a controlled high-frequency current directly into the skin tag. This process dehydrates and coagulates the tissue, allowing the skin tag to gradually dry up and detach while minimising damage to the surrounding skin.
Does skin tag removal hurt?
Most clients find the treatment very tolerable. You may experience a brief stinging or warming sensation during the procedure, but discomfort is usually minimal and short-lived.
How long does it take to heal?
Healing times vary depending on the size and location of the skin tag. A small crust or scab may form and usually falls away naturally within 7–14 days. It is important not to pick the area and to follow all aftercare advice to support optimal healing.
Will the skin tag grow back?
Once a skin tag has been successfully removed, it is unlikely to return in the same location. However, some individuals are naturally prone to developing new skin tags elsewhere on the body over time.
